I bought these in anticipation of a drive across the country. I chose these because one of my favorite online vitamin stores sent me a sample bar which I loved. This type of bar usually trigger a sugar reaction or a wheat reaction in me, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that neither happened this time.
Lara bars have a yummy, nutty, natural taste that is gluten free and very satisfying. Honestly, even though these are not unusually large, half of one is almost enough as a meal replacement.
These are really delicious. If you have given up on natural nutritional bars, try these. I think you'll be pleased.

I just tried these bars for the first time. The flavor is great - lemon is my favorite! I'm not sure though, that I really appreciate the texture of these bars. I'm not a huge nut fanatic and there are lots of tiny nuts in every bite. Somehow, nuts and fruit pie flavor just don't go together for me. Other than that, they are tasty and full of nutrition - very filling as well (I sometimes can only eat 1/2 a bar at a time...could be partly due to the # of nuts).

I saw these on a "how do they make it" show and was intrigued with how they make something taste like pie... so I ordered some... I had buyer's regret until they arrived... they do taste amazingly good... especially the fruit & nut bars. I also bought the chocolate bars and personally didn't like them as much as the fruit pies.
They are filling... you can tell by lifting the box!.... and such good, pure ingredients.

These variety packs are such a great idea. A nice mix of three flavors, but we'd like to see a few that offer another flavor in place of the Apple Pie bars. The Apple Pie bars are good, but they are in every single variety pack offered.

I love the cherry pie bar- thats all i have had so far.
THey are good size bars, heavy in taste, very tart and fruity. High in fruit sugar_ i guess because the sugar content was high- but for a dessert I think they were great
